These Terms of Use govern how you interact with our platform. By accessing or using the aloomah app, you agree to follow these terms. Please read them carefully — they’re here to keep our community safe, respectful, and supportive.
1. What aloomah Is (and Isn’t)
aloomah is a digital support space for individuals navigating fertility, miscarriage, and family-forming journeys. The app provides access to emotional support, community groups, and wellbeing resources.
It does not offer medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always speak to a qualified health professional for medical concerns.
2. Who Can Use aloomah
To use aloomah, you must:
- Be 18 years or older
- Receive access through a valid referral code provided by your employer
- Agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy
- Use the app for its intended, non-commercial purpose only
3. Your Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Treat other users with kindness and respect
- Keep any content you share appropriate, supportive, and safe
- Not share anything misleading, harmful, or offensive
- Never impersonate others or share personal data without permission
- Use the platform for emotional support, not medical guidance
4. What’s Not Allowed
We take safety and integrity seriously. You may not:
- Harass, bully, or target other users
- Share hate speech, discriminatory remarks, or explicit content
- Give medical advice or make health claims
- Promote or sell products, services, or therapies
- Share or post misinformation
- Pretend to be someone you’re not
- Post anything that could cause emotional harm to others
5. Anonymous Posting
You may post anonymously in group chats. However, for safeguarding reasons, we retain internal records of user identities for all posts. We will never reveal your identity publicly unless legally required to do so.
6. Private Messages & Chat Groups
aloomah allows:
- Participation in themed group chats
- One-to-one private messages (DMs) with other users
All communications must remain respectful and supportive. Abuse or misuse of private messaging will result in immediate account termination.
7. Zero-Tolerance Policy
aloomah operates a strict one-strike policy.
If you break any of the rules listed above — including sharing harmful content, engaging in abuse, or giving medical advice — your account will be permanently suspended without warning.
All reports are manually reviewed by our team. Decisions are final and non-negotiable.
8. Content Ownership & Moderation
You remain the owner of anything you write or post on aloomah, but by using the platform, you give us permission to:
- Store, display, and moderate your content
- Remove or restrict content that violates these terms
We are not responsible for user-generated content. All views expressed by users are their own and do not reflect those of aloomah.
9. Account Closure
You may delete your account at any time via the app settings. We may also suspend or remove your account if we believe you've broken these terms or posed a risk to the community.
10. Our Liability
aloomah is an emotional wellbeing platform, not a clinical or medical service. While we aim to provide a supportive experience, we cannot guarantee specific outcomes.
We are not responsible for:
- Decisions you make based on content in the app
- Any loss, emotional distress, or damage resulting from use of the platform
- User content posted by others
Use of aloomah is entirely at your own discretion and risk.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. If we do, we’ll let you know in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.
